BYD Seagull  -  Cyberpunk Compact with Attitude.

"Into-the-Meta" Vision

The BYD Seagull is a full electric A00 segment compact city car, aiming for the second car of the family. It's mainly for the city based short distance travel with range of 305-405km battery pack.

Normaly in this segment, designs are more female oriented with more soft feeling. However, we wanted to create something new and exciting, something that can inspire the future. The concept was a U-shape gull wing wraps arround a floating cabin. 

For this vehicle, budget and engineering are way more difficult then usual. We have to try keeping as much as the original design without raising the manufacturing budget and to fit all those components in such a small car. Thanks to the entire BYD team, together we have created an icon for the future.
